Camille is three months old today! Where has the time gone? I can't believe she is getting so big! She is so happy and has started smiling, squealing and babbling. Oh, I wish I knew what she was saying! I love getting her out of bed in the morning, she just smiles and I imagine her saying, "Hi mommy! Good morning." Children are one of God's greatest blessings!!

Polar Express
Saturday night we went with our friends John, Emily and William to the north pole on the Polar Express. Nathan and William really enjoyed it, especially the train ride, chocolate milk and cookies. Camille slept through most of it, but woke up in time to have her picture made with Santa and Mrs. Claus. We had a great time and the boys did really well waiting on Santa to make his way to our car. Maybe Santa should get some of the mall Santas to help him out next year.
Camille out like a light.Nathan saying, "Cheese!" and Mrs. Claus thought it was funny.
Don't you love spit-up? Nathan was so excited to have his picture made with the conductor!!

Thanksgiving Part 2
Well, we are the crazy travellers at Thanksgiving, going to see both sets of parents, but we have made it home safely and for that I am very thankful. We had a good time in Tennessee and enjoyed spending time with Phil's family. This morning we left Camille with Phil's mom and took Nathan to Who-ville...How the Grinch Stole Christmas ICE at Opryland. It was fun, but not sure it was worth the drive and the money for 30 minutes of freezing! Everything inside is ice and it's really neat to see and very cold. There are two ice slides, which we all enjoyed. It was great because there were only a few people there and we didn't have to wait in any lines! Nathan seemed to really enjoy it, but was more interested in the snacks in the gift shop than anything else. Oh well, glad we went and were able to spend some time with just him. He was pretty excited that Camille was too small to go. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving
We just got back from my parents house where we went for Thanksgiving day. It was so good to go home for a couple of days. We had a great time with my mom and dad and were able to see some of my cousins while we were home. We drove back home today and will leave in the morning to go to Phil's parents house. We have gone to both family's houses every year and it is hard, but neither one of us is willing to give up time with our family during the holidays. It makes for a crazy few days especially with two children, but it works for now.
Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Mom, Dad, Nathan and CamilleNathan, Camille and Aunt Natalie. Nathan driving the tractor with Pops.
Nathan and Camille with Edgie. Camille was less than thrilled at this point, but I'm so glad I have a picture of her with them. Edgie was my grandmother's best friend and is 101 years old. She is sharp as a tack and continues to amaze us. It was really good to see her today.
This is a picture of turkey cookies Nathan and I made earlier this week. I thought they were really cute. He took them to school and shared some with his friends.

Catching Up
I have gotten behind on updating the blog because of several things. We are going to have a yard sale in the morning. Yes, I know it's going to be 24 degrees at 7:00, but we're going to do it anyway. I'm tired of all this junk in my garage and I'm ready for it to go! It will be a long night, early morning and long day tomorrow, but hopefully we'll make a little money and meet some of our neighbors. Phil was at the bank yesterday getting some money for us to make change and I guess he told the teller what it was for. She said a lady was in there the day before and made $4000 on her yardsale the previous weekend. $4000??? We'll be extremely lucky if we make $400. Who makes $4000 on a yard sale?
Here a few pictures of the kiddos. Nathan cracks me up the way he "reads" catalogs. He LOVES them and really studies them. It makes me laugh. Here is Nathan getting a haircut from Phil. Again, looks like an old man in a barber shop! We go though at least two suckers just to get him to be still.
Apparently he still loves Camille. I keep thinking he will lash out at her or something, but he truly seems to love her.
I finally put a bow in her hair and attempted to take some pictures. If only she would smile for the camera!

Two months old
Camille was two months old Monday. I can't believe nine weeks have already passed. She weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces and is 22 inches long. She is beginning to smile and turns her head when she hears our voices. She is such a sweet baby and is sleeping fairly well. She wakes up1-2 times a night, so I can't complain. She seems to like riding in the car and goes with the flow. Nathan is still doing well and loves his little sister. His new favorite thing to do it take a bath with her. He wants me to put her tub in the big tub so they can take a bath together.

All Aboard!
"Trick or Treat. I"m a train conductor. All aboard!" This is what we heard all night as we went to some of our neighbors houses. Nathan loved being a train conductor. With Camille coming three weeks early and Nathan's birthday party being less than a month later, I kind of forgot about Halloween. Thankfully, he received this costume for his birthday and gave me one less thing to think about. Thank you Addison for the great birthday present. This was actually the first year we went trick-or-treating and Nathan seemed to really like it. He loved knocking on doors and picking out the candy. I don't know where he gets this from, but when someone would put a full bowl of candy under his nose and tell him to take what he wanted, we stood there forever while he tried to decide. He would never take a handfull, always just one piece, but the decision making was torture for him, but he loved every minute. Camille didn't get a costume this year, just a gown with a pink pumpkin. Mommy didn't quite get it together, but she loved walking around in the sling.
Our Pumpkins
Phil and Nathan had a great time carving the annual pumpkin and Nathan thought it was great that it could light up. Even though he looks less than thrilled in the picture he really thought it was neat. The four of us all in orange.
I can't upload any pictures from Halloween for some reason, so I will post them later.

Brotherly Love
Nathan is such a great big brother. He loves Camille and comforts her when she is crying. The other day she was lying on our bed while Phil and I were getting ready. She got a little fussy and we looked over and Nathan was lying next to her patting her tummy saying, "It's okay Camille. You're okay sweet girl." Too precious! Here are a couple of pictures of him loving on his baby sister.

Three and one month
What a weekend! Thursday was Nathan's birthday, so we took him to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. He really seemed to enjoy it. Phil and I were not sure how it was going to turn out, but he did great.
Friday Camille was a month old. We have survived one month with two children and love it! Angela, I totally stole your picture idea. Hope that's okay. I just love the pictures with Humpty Dumpty.
Saturday was Nathan's party at Pump It Up. Definitely the easiest party I have ever done...the most expensive, but easiest. Totally worth the money for the lack of stress involved. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Thursday, October 9, 2008
Nathan is 3
Today my sweet baby boy turns three years old. I can't believe we have been priviledged to be his parents for three years. He is an amazing child and is adapting well to being a big brother. When Phil and I went upstairs to get him this morning he was singing "Happy Birthday" to himself! He is so cute! October 9, 2005

Pumpkin Patch
Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch. We have gone the last two years, but never have we been when it was 80 degrees and we were all in shorts! It was hot, but this was the only weekend in October we could go, so we all went. I was proud of us for our first long outing as a family of four. Nathan had a great time and Camille enjoyed her sling and slept the whole time. It was a fun day!

It's about time!
Nathan and Camille

All clean!
My two boys!
I have finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon! I know, some of you are shocked, but I am terrible at sending pictures and maybe I will be better and keeping this updated. The latest news we have is the addition of sweet Camille Henley on September 10. Nathan is a great big brother and we are adjusting to life with a newborn. I hope you all are well and enjoy keeping up with our family!
